Life time calculation of Million guide

The life time of Million guide varies depending on the application conditions (lubrication, vibration, load variation and temperature etc.) The reference value is calculated by the following formula. The retainer replacement at earlier timing than the reference value leads to longer life time of the guide.

Calculation formula of the basic rating life (travel distance)
Basic rating life means the travel distance where 90% of a group of the same Million guide reach without any flaking (scaly on the metal surface by rotation wornout) under the same operational conditions.

Oscillation life (compensation in case of infinitesimal stroke)
Smaller stroke operation may generate fretting (corrosive wear) easily because the oil film is harder to form between the contact surfaces of the roller and the post. So in case of infinitesimal stroke operation, multiply the rating life (L) by the following oscillation coefficient (H).

In case the stroke and the reciprocation number are fixed, the rated shot number is calculated by the following formula.


In case of moment load
The rating life is calculated by replacing the applied load "Pc" of the formula 1 with the equivalent applied load "Pm", after converting the moment load "M" to "Pm" by the following formula. In case both the normal load (lateral) and the moment load are applied, the applied load calculation = Pc + Pm.
